I did not have this problem the first time I installed Maverick on my thinkpad
t-60. Last week I decided to upgrade the hard drive from a 5400 rpm seagate to
a 7200 rpm hitachi and do a new install of maverick. After the new install I
got the modprobe error on boot. My boot time went from 60 seconds with the
seagate to 75 seconds with the hitachi.
I installed the patched linux headers and image suggested by Andy Whitcroft
and I no longer get the error on boot. Boot time is now 30 seconds. Thank you
Andy!
