This is what I did: 1.I booted the working kernel linux-image-2.6.20-13 into safe mode and unmounted the EXT3 partition. Then I ran 'e2fsck -f /dev/hda4' which found zero errors. 2.I rebooted the machine into linux-image-2.6.20-14-generic SAFE MODE. And this are the errors I could gather.
I believe that there is something wrong with the EXT3 module in the latest kernel which doesn't correctly recognize the EXT3 partition. See the attachment. ps. The photos are taken with my cell phone so they are not of very high quality:) ** Attachment added: "logs, images of the error" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7223452/kernel14.tar.bz2 -- [feisty beta] linux-image 2.6.20-14 halts during boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104009 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
