I have no idea. I suppose I would have to load up Windows and hunt
around to see if it's possible. I know the Windows configuration
software that came with my motherboard doesn't look quite like the one
in the picture.

Definitely under PulseAudio I can tell Xine to play to iec958 (eg. Dolby
Digital DVD audio via passthrough) simultaneously to, say, having
mplayer play a flac file to analogue-out channels... but I assume that's
not useful to you - I think you want to know if it's possible
exclusively using my front and back analogue jacks. I might get a chance
to try it tomorrow night.
