Well, I hope for every distribution and developers to move to Wayland as
soon as possible (so we can get rid of this 25 years old X crap), but in
the meantime is there a chance to have keycodes > 255 working with X
without having to poke at input.h every now and then? It there a
solution to easily remap those keycodes so they can be seen by X? I'm
trying to figure out whether it is possible via udev but I came to
nothing at the moment. I think that multimedia keyboards are now too
widespread, a workaround (and an howto) is really needed. It's just
ridiculous having a simple thing like a keyboard key not working, in
2011!!!
