On my 10.04 install I'm now running kernel 2.6.32-27-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 2 00:51:09 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux I'm still also using "acpi=force irqpoll" and have had NO freezes for 5 days uptime.
