Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center
I built a package myself, my PC is 32-bit (output of dpkg-architecture -qDEB_HOST_ARCH is i386) and I built a package myself. It is called <package-name>-0ubuntu1_i386.deb This is the control file of the package: Source: wallch ..... Build-Depends: qt4-qmake, libqt4-dev, debhelper (>=7) .... Architecture: any Depends: mpg321, imagemagick, libnotify-bin, ${shlibs:Depends}, ${misc:Depends} Description: ... As you can see it says: Architecture: any (!) I have to say that lintian doesn't output any errors for my package (even with -i, -I options) So the main problem is: When I open my package with ubuntu software center happens something buggy: This is the first try: http://i55.tinypic.com/2rghyiq.png As you can see it says "is not available for this type of computer (i386). This is quite weird. I built the package in a PC with i386 architecture and the control file says 'any architecture', and it says that is not available for the computer? So, I close ubuntu software center and reopened the same DEB and...: http://i52.tinypic.com/29eq9gm.png Error gone! Very strange! Since then, sometimes I get this error message but sometimes not.
