It also affects Maverick. I've made a patch to fix this on Maverick and I've put the fixed package in my PPA. (https://launchpad.net/~phobosk/+archive/phobosk-ppa). I'm not sure if it will work on older Ubuntu versions but one can try the package (https://launchpad.net/~phobosk/+archive/phobosk-ppa/+packages).
