Hi. I have the same problem. Ubuntu can be installed OK on /dev/cciss/c0d0 or .../cciss/c0d1. But choosing qtparted during installation does not detect any partitions for manual editing, saying: cannot detect ...are you really root ? Raid Controller ist HP Smart Array 6i with 128 MB battery-cached module. BIOS-Firmware and Raidcontroller-Firmware is the newest availiable . I also tried that with another DL380G4p : Same Problem. I also testet Kubuntu 6.06 , there is the same problem with qtparted in Installation..
Another Problem with Hp Array 6i in kubuntu 6.06 is, that there is no device shown in system-settings -> disc & Filesystems. The Error Message is: The module disc and filesystems cannot be loaded. The diagnostic is : (empty) , possible reason: an error accoured during your last kde update leaving some orphaned module, You have old 3rd party modules lying around . but I had no updates or upgrades at this point. -- Dapper RC don't install on HP ProLiant DL360 G4p https://launchpad.net/bugs/47492 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
