I was not aware there were T60p's with AMD architecture. For the record, I have a t60p with a core duo (x86/32) and an ATI FireGL 5200 card, and I see the same thing. More specifically, as the machine is coming back up, I see what looks like a flash of virtual terminal, and the backlight comes on, but the screen is dark. I cannot switch to a virtual terminal and ctrl-alt-del doesn't restart the machine.
