sorry for the inconvenience. could you please do the following: click on Applications>Accessories>Terminal there type 'sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade' hope this solves the problem for you. if that does not help please paste the errors you see in the terminal in this bug report so we could see what the problem is.
