** Description changed: Binary package hint: tvtime I had tvtime running fine on 9.04. I have a digi-tv box (from my - internet provider) from which i send a old-school tv cable out to my tv- - tuner card. On channel 109 (607.50MHz) I get the tv picture, sound goes - directly from tuners line out to my stereo system. It worked flawlessy - with 9.04 for a long time. Then my hd crashed and I installed new Ubuntu - 10.4 and tvtime crashed during usage. I installed 10.10 and tvtime - freezes computer on every run. I went back to 10.4 but it gave the same - results. Then I installed xawtv, zapping and smplayer. Now when i start - zapping, tune into ch 109 I can hear the sound but no picture (if I try - to change output to Overlay or Capture mode it sometimes crashes). So it - tunes my tvtuner to correct channel. Now I start smplayer and i get the - picture. But tvtime freezes comuter every time, totally. The card is - Chronos TV/FM tuner with SAA7120 or SAA7130. in /etc/modprobe.d/ I have - saa7134.conf with 'options saa7134 card=3 tuner=2 gbuffers=4' to get - sound going. I ran tvtime as first app after reinstall, before even sys - updates, but no change. Thanks. + internet provider) connected with old-school coaxial-cable to my tv- + tuner card.
