Tested with a clean install of lucid and happens there as well. Over the course of several reboots, some of the faster boots ( closer to 8 seconds according to bootchart ) played no sound at all, and some of the slower ones ( closer to 10 seconds ) played some or most of the sound.
It seems that the sound is played from startup applications which runs /usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play, which is part of the libcanberra-gtk0 package, so assigning there. ** Package changed: ubuntu => libcanberra (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576195 Title: Login sound plays before hardware is initialized, cutting it off -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
