Sorry for the delayed response.

To help further investigate this bug it would be helpful if you could
attach further files to the bug. To do this, please use the "Add
attachment or patch" button at the bottom of the page.

The first file to attach is syslog - which is located in the
/var/log/installer directory. To get a copy of this file you need to
type the command "sudo chown <your username>: ~/installer.syslog" (with
your actual username inserted) into the terminal. This will then copy
the file into the Home Folder, where you can post it here.

The second file to attach is the ~/.xsession-errors file. This is
located within your Home Folder. However, the file is hidden, therefore
to view it you can press Ctrl + H. Then, locate the ~/.xsession-errors
file within the Home Folder and post here.

The third file to attach is the Xorg.0.log file. This is located at
/var/log/Xorg.0.log. This can be located by accessing Computer (within
Places) and then accessing the var and log folders to find the
Xorg.0.log.file.

Finally, you need to run this command from the terminal "sudo software-
center > /tmp/sc.log 2>&1". This will load the Software Center. Then try
and install a piece of software, after you have received the error you
should then close the Software Center. This would have generated a file
located at /tmp/sc.log (again accessible from Computer). Locate this
file and again post it to your response.

Thanks.
