This same kind of focus happens on Spotify also. However what happens is that unity does not recognize the application at all.
If I start spotify again then the system can't since it is still running but unity can't open the application. if I kill spotify and then start it again then a new entry in unity is created and that one gets focus for spotify. The old entry does not bother at all about the application.
