After mounting the same unformatted drive above in Windows 7 Ultimate, I
could see the disk in Disk Management. However, the drive did not
populate on the Windows desktop, nor could it be seen in My computer.
Neither Windows or Ubuntu yet provide the very helpful convenience
mentioned in this bug.

What is expected in Ubuntu is that the unformatted drive has an icon on
the desktop noting it is an unformatted drive and clicking it brings the
opportunity to format it or some similar, convenient resolution.

This issue does not seem localized to the Tripp Lite but extends to any
connected, unformatted drive.
