Same problem on ubuntu 10.10 on x64 AMD with a Logitech Quickcam: After boot camera works fine for a while (cheese, skype,) but than at some point there is no image (just black). Restart solves the problem. Lsusb shows the camera every time (Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:08ce Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Pro 5000)
