Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
Tthe document viewer that firefox launches to display a pdf document fails to display the contents and instead displays a message that a newer version of adobe is required. I responded to the person who sent me the pdf document, an invitation to a New Year's Eve ballroom dinner dance, and she said she can read it on her computer, and others can read it too. The problem does not occur with any other pdf document that I have ever received. In order to diagnose the error for myself, I had to install acroread, and acroread displays the document correctly. I have uploaded the offending pdf document. I am able to duplicate the problem by opening the pdf document with the document viewer rather than Adobe Reader 9. I took a screen shot, but I can't figure out how to save the screen shot in a file for you. This is not particularly urgent, it is the only pdf document, of dozens I have received, that won't display with the document viewer.
