Public bug reported:

I have freshly installed Maverick but sure with no wifi at first. Then I
upgraded and install the additional broadcom wireless drivers. Network
controller is Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY. Network
manager, then, can see the avaible wireless networks. It tries to
connect but cannot. After some trying, network manager cannot see any
avaible wireless networks. Then, I had to disable wireless and re-enable
it to see the avaible wireless networks. Then same goes well.

** Affects: bcmwl (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
