I have to agree with this. If a package has a copyright file that
matches DEP5 formatting, it should be fairly trivial to extract the
short license keys included and place them in a License: header for
display in software selection tools like apt-cache show and software
center. This would not significantly raise the size of the list, but
would significantly improve the quality of software center for users
(and could be used to improve awareness of open source licenses in
general).

Given that, marking this as Confirmed, and setting Importance to
Wishlist.
