Many thanks for improving Ubuntu by working on this issue. Please note that I cannot install any other Ubuntu version than 10.04 on my computer at this time. While I understand that new features won't be added to 10.04, I understand that bugfixes are still being made, after all it's supposed to be LTS.
I would run said utility under the present installation and upload the result, if I can do that without expert knowledge (which I do not have, I am just a user).
