Hi guys,
Since I upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10 the whole system has started to
freeze every now and then. It may happen five minutes after the boot up
or like yesterday only after some 10 hours of uptime (it did first
freeze first thing in the morning). Since it upgrade it has happened at
least two times a day. Sometimes the system has been idle and some times
it freezes in the middle of working. Even sshd becomes unresponsive and
HDD LED stops blinking. Only way to get out of it is hard reset. I
haven't found any kind of indication of the problem in the log files.
I've tried to log into safe mode without any help. I haven't tried if it
freezes while network is down. Each time I've had at least the WiFi and
a web browser on (I stopped using Firefox because of this but it happens
even with Chromium). Once it happened while I was saving the state of a
Virtual Machine which ended up to corrupt the VM so this is a security
issue also.
