maco:

I rolled back to Feisty Herd 5 and wont do updates until this resolves.
I am looking at my interfaces file right now:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp

auto eth2
iface eth2 inet dhcp

auto ath0
iface ath0 inet dhcp

auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp

I only use lo, eth0 and ath0

But even though the others aren't commented herd 5 still boots normally.
I don't think it has to do with the *empty* interfaces being there.
