Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vlc
to reproduce bug: start vlc on any audio file. It plays perfectly up to 1:29 then silence, but clock continues counting. after a few more minutes of silence sound splutters again, then silent again. I can start parallel sessions of vlc, and each one will fall silent when it reaches 1:29. Sometimes starting one while another is silent will start the silent one spluttering again. $ apt-cache policy vlc vlc: Installed: 1.1.4-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.1.4-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.1.4-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe i386 Packages 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: vlc 1.1.4-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.35-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Nov 21 16:47:19 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: vlc ** Affects: vlc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 maverick -- audio-only playback always stops after 1.5 minutes on any file types https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/678183 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
