Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ureadahead
After installing a new kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v2.6.36-maverick/ (I need at least 2.6.36 for suspend/hibernate to work). ureadahead no longer works, the program returns 5 which seems to be a general error code for failure to create trace (ureadahead.c line 230) *My system: Release: 10.10 ureadahead version: 0.100.0-8 >From a stack trace (see attachment) it is quite clear to me that the offending system call is 'openat(3, "events/fs/do_sys_open/enable", O_RDWR)' which is called from trace.c:177 > values.c:88 but I don't know what that is suppose to do, nor can I figure out the full path to the file that is to be opened. (I'm just a humble PHP code monkey ;) The /var/lib/ureadahead/ folder is empty apart from a folder called debugfs which is also empty. ** Affects: ureadahead (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Error while tracing: No such file or directory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677443 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
