I'm now running mainline kernel 2.6.37-rc2 with the current Realtek driver. The driver I had been using under the Ubuntu kernel from the repository was 2.6.0015.0127.2010. The current driver from Realtek is 2.6.0018.1025.2010. I'll run this for another day or so and let you know if there are any random connectivity lapses. So far so good.
