Thanks for the report. The RXTX library is installed in the correct location, per Debian policy [1]. The bug is actually in the JRE/JDKs for not looking in the right place. See bug #325506. I'm marking this bug a duplicate of that one. This bug has been fixed in openjdk-6-jre [2] but is open in sun-java [3] [1] http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/java-policy/x104.html [2] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=517338 [3] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=382686 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #517338 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=517338 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #382686 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=382686 ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 325506 /usr/lib/jni not put in java.library.path * You can subscribe to bug 325506 by following this link: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sun-java6/+bug/325506/+subscribe -- librxtx-java package install files in wrong location https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667321 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
