Verification for Lucid I've verified update-manager 1:0.142.21 in maverick-proposed and it failed for 2 reasons: 1. The function _test_and_fail_on_non_i686 is called in the wrong quirk handler (lucidPostInitialUpdate instead of maverickPostInitialUpdate) 2. in _test_and_fail_on_non_i686 the test self.arch == "i386" always fails because self.arch ends with a new line (output of dpkg --print-architecture). This is a bug in update-manager.
With those 2 fixes the upgrade is aborted as expected.
