Wow even the SABDFL chimed in, but... Correct me if I am wrong, as I have not spent hours studying this.
My "home" directory is accessible to me, as I am logged in. It is NOT accessible to anyone else logged into my PC with their password. It is NOT accessible by anyone on a network, or online (a large network). If the above is not true, this will open up an unfun can of worms for the Diggers and Redditers, as well as a bunch of other places.
