I installed this netbook (Asus EEE900A ) with Ubuntu 10.4, and have
since upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10. With the out of box behavior, the fan
was never coming on. I have noticed graphics glitches and X crashes
with increasing frequency. At a friend's suggestion that it might be
temperature related, I ran pwmconfig which generated an /etc/fancontrol
and am currently running it.
