Quoting the attached > !! Byte-compilation for emacs22 failed! > !! This indicates a bug in one of the add-on packages > !! installed on your system, or a bug in Emacs itself. > !! Please file a bug report against emacs22 > !! and attach the file /tmp/emacs22.Xm0lSd
If you still have this file on your system, please add it to this bug report. If you no longer have the file on your system, you may be able to recreate a similar file by attempting to reinstall emacs22. The file name will be different, though; look near the end of /var/log/apt/term.log for the correct file name (you will need root / sudo access to access the log file). I am setting the Status of this bug report to Incomplete to mark it as pending on your input. Once you supply the requested information, it can be changed back to New. For what it's worth, the package installation scripts do not use your personal .emacs file at all; they only run with the system-wide site- lisp. ** Changed in: emacs22 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- package emacs22 22.2-0ubuntu6.2 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/665603 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
