Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

For me Compiz has the problem that it is not able to place windows on an
other xinerama screen.

This is my setup:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ xdpyinfo -ext XINERAMA|tail -n3
XINERAMA version 1.1 opcode: 154
  head #0: 1280x800 @ 0,0
  head #1: 1280x1024 @ 1280,0

Under Metacity and KWin I can place windows free around the screen:
Eg "xterm -geometry +1300+0" opens the window on my right screen independent of
which screen has the current focus

With Compiz enabled it will show up at the screen border but not move across it
if the target screen doesn't have focus:

When the target screen has the focus this works properly:

It would at least be reasonable if this would happen with "-geometry +20+0" (as
its relative to the current screen) but in this form its not suggestive for me

Under the Beryl version from feisty-universe the placement works fine.
