When setting GRUB option to "acpi_sleep=nonvs" described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/656279/comments/41 the black screen on resume is fixed on Maverick kernel 2.6.35. With 2.6.36 kernel this GRUB option isn't necessary. In both cases resume on battery (with SpeedStep enabled) fails due to CPU freezing like I already described.
