Public bug reported: I upgarded yesterday to ubuntu 7.04 from 6.10. I had installed adobe reader 7.0 for pdf files viewing and it worked nicely 'till the upgrade. During the installation apt-get told me that some packages were "obsolete" and needed to be removed (amonf them adobe reader, but also clamav etc.). At the new boot, needing the reader, I searched with synaptic but didn't find adobe reader. So I downloaded from adobe web site the tar and rpm version. I tried installing the tar without success then I decided to try with the rpm (alienated and installed the deb): in synaptic now I have a voice for alienated packages, but adobe reader doesn't work.
