Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vim
Currently Vim in Ubuntu 10.10 is at 7.2. It should be updated to 7.3; there are a few nice new features in it, and it includes all the bug fixes from the 7.2 line which haven't been released in Ubuntu as well. (I can't find any way that requests for package updates should be done; if there is some procedure for it, please mention that and I'll do it that way in future.) There is already a PPA with Vim 7.3 available for Maverick; I don't know if that helps or not - but it does provide an alternative anyway. https://launchpad.net/~passy/+archive/vim?field.series_filter=maverick . Currently I'm using an installation from Lucid which I still have, even though it's not a Maverick package - https://launchpad.net/~ajc30/+archive/ppa/vim ** Affects: vim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Vim 7.3 packages not released https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/663673 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
