Public bug reported: Binary package hint: plymouth
I have a Toshiba Netbook NB205. Since upgrading to 10.10, the netbook will take 10 minutes to boot unless the keyboard or the mouse is constantly manipulated. Its like the hard drive will not stay spinning unless their is interaction. Boot time will take less than a minute if the keyboard/mouse is being manipulated. The boot screen will only display at the end after a bunch of boot up text is displayed. Let me know if I need to attach any other logs. Thanks, Alan ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: plymouth 0.8.2-2ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.35-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Oct 19 17:00:10 2010 DefaultPlymouth: /lib/plymouth/themes/ubuntu-logo/ubuntu-logo.plymouth MachineType: TOSHIBA TOSHIBA NB205 ProcCmdLine: root=UUID=05de678c-1230-416a-ac25-9ef60f77102b ro quiet splash resume=/dev/sda6 processor.max_cstate=1 apm=off ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb SourcePackage: plymouth TextPlymouth: /lib/plymouth/themes/ubuntu-text/ubuntu-text.plymouth dmi.bios.date: 06/22/2010 dmi.bios.vendor: TOSHIBA dmi.bios.version: V2.10 dmi.board.name: KAVAA dmi.board.vendor: TOSHIBA dmi.board.version: 1.00 dmi.chassis.asset.tag: * dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: TOSHIBA dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnTOSHIBA:bvrV2.10:bd06/22/2010:svnTOSHIBA:pnTOSHIBANB205:pvrPLL20U-00Q01D:rvnTOSHIBA:rnKAVAA:rvr1.00:cvnTOSHIBA:ct10:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: TOSHIBA NB205 dmi.product.version: PLL20U-00Q01D dmi.sys.vendor: TOSHIBA ** Affects: plymouth (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 maverick ubuntu-une -- Netbook boot 10+ minutes without constantly manipulating mouse/keyboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/663581 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
