Hi Alessio, I'm not sure how best to address this. We just released version 1.8.1, which is a pure bugfix release.
We've fixed 11 bugs (https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+milestone/1.8.1), including 1 segfault fix and 1 critical performance improvement which has improved Mixxx's performance drastically on all our platforms. Additionally Rhythmbox integration was broken on Ubuntu 10.10 due to a Rhythmbox on-disk library format upgrade. We have fixed that as well.
