Sigh, why don't you just read my explanation instead of insisting? PCM oubviously controls *both* because that's the input they get. LFE controls the LFE channel. Master controls the 2 other speakers, it *should* also control the LFE channel but this is not the case and that's an alsa issue. There is some patch floating around that allows to do it but it doesn't do it properly.
