Hi Husfeldt, I can't reproduce this. I think this is a Picasa Web Albums permissions issue. By default, Picasa removes geolocation information from uploaded photos for security reasons (to see why, consider what happens if you have a public picture called "Party at My Place" that contains geolocation information -- well, then the whole world knows where you live, which may not be desirable).
To tell Picasa to keep and map geolocation information, do the following: (i) Log into your Picasa Web Albums account. (ii) In the upper-right hand corner of the welcome page, click "Settings" then choose "Photos settings" from the drop down menu. (iii) Click the "Privacy and Permissions" tab (iv) Ensure that the "automatically map photos if they contain location data" checkbox in the "Location" section is checked Regards, Lucas -- Photo location info lost when publishing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661633 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
