Hi, I got my headphone working with maverick. For those who want also to solve this problem, I got the solution from: http://www.linlap.com/wiki/asus+g50v In my case I used this option options snd-hda-intel model=asus-mode3
and I also had to create the alsa-driver symbolic link as described in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/184314/comments/21 The combination of the load module and the symbolic link worked, each one of these solution alone doesnt solve the problem. I hope you guys take care of this on future version of ubuntu.
