Since the update to Maverick, I get this, too. It seems related to this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer0.10/+bug/294707 As with that bug, playing videos normally worked, but today suddenly no videos would play. They would, as described here, start in fast forward and then freeze a few seconds later. Pausing right when the video is loaded and waiting a couple of minutes helped, but the video was still not playing correctly (had only about 5 frames per second, although the progress was normal (so, frames were just skipped, not slowly displayed), although the sound was normal then. It also doesn't seem to have anything to do with the type of video I play.
If I can help with any debugging information, I'd be glad to, but please tell me soon or I'll have the whole mess reinstalled by then. -- movie player play in fast forward mode with no sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
