@Jordan - I technically have 2 drive controllers. One RAID controller exposing a single drive, and one PCI ATA-133 controller holding two optical drives. I'm not sure how this bug could be considered "fixed" if grub is still failing to identify the correct drive upon which it actually needs to install. That behavior would seem to inherently be required for this bug to be closed - and observation indicates that the behavior desired is not complete. However, I agree that the description doesn't match well (I just followed the dup). I'll continue follow-up in the newly unrelated bug report - #609280. :)
