Thank you for opening this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. I would firstly like to ask what specific problems you are facing when your laptop 'locks up' and whether you are facing the same problems with different screensavers or just with the ant-headlight screensaver.
Secondly, after your laptop 'locks up' are you able to enter the Linux terminal by pressing Ctrl-Alt-F1?
