In bug reports, we concentrate on fixing problems. While your input is
appreciated, it does not provide any insight on how to fix the bug and
might be better suited to a forum.

The testing scenario to reproduce this bug was not as trivial as you
were describing, and the bug was discovered early enough in the process
and reported. If it hasn't been fixed until now it's because the
solution is not trivial, either, but as you can see there has been
already very productive discussion towards a proper fix.

If you'd like to join that discussion, or help testing, please feel free
to jump in.
