it doesn't work in my case either. At first I have upgraded to version
1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu22~diwic using PPA posted
by David Henningsson in #183 but it didn't solve the problem.

That was before pulseaudio was accepted in maverick-proposed.

Then I restore (downgrade) to the original packages from maverick
(1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu21) and tried "selective
upgrading from -proposed" following instructions posted by Martin Pitt
in #189 but sadly it didn't work either.

At this moment I can confirm that all packages and dependencies from
pulseaudio are running at version 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-
queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu21.1 but still having the bug when moving volume
slider.

I'm using sblive(EMU10K1) in maverick i386 2.6.35-22-generic and again,
the only way that I can get rid of the buggy sound is by replacing the
"volume = merge" with "volume = ignore" in config files as I proposed in
msg #143.

Thanks in advance.
