Well, I've gone back to Karmic without finding a working kernel. I am not sure even anymore to have even burnt a dvd rw.. ;)
Given that there's a chance for the hardware to got broken, or some other software misbehaving, I would have to test it using a real "Karmic" system. I could also try going back to Hardy or something alike, but that it unlikely to boot given Maverick's upstart in userspace. I will just leave this open, and provide any additional information I might find in the future - it is not very important for me anymore though; I have burnt the media on another system. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: Lee Jones (lag) => Daniel Hahler (blueyed) -- Blank DVD+RW does not get detected / cannot burn https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/613214 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
