Ok, it is now better for me, too. The only remaining thing is #2, this stays still in the footer. At least I can abort this.
The trick was to shutdown manually two additionally processes (I did no reboot in between), e-addressbook-factory and e-calendar-factory. With the next evolution start my exchange calendar is back again :-)! -- When upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10, exchange mail accounts no longer work in Evolution.
