Hello David, Installing the ALSA driver module for kernel 2.6.35-22 via
sudo apt-get install linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r) has restored sound when booting with kernel 2.6.35-22 and I can now play music files. The opening drums and music are not played despite being enabled in "Startup Applications" and "Login screen". The latter occurs regardless of which kernel is used.
