Hi MacRules, Yes, this is targeted for Natty. The change to make it work 100% correctly in 10.10 would require a large overhaul of parts of utouch- grail, so it's probably best to think of this as an errata for the current release. Future revisions in this area will also be XInput dependent, so the requisite change to 10.10 would not be forward compatible either.
