I downgraded to Lucid on my Dell E6510 laptop, because I need it rock solid/stable with working suspend/resume for my job. Using nvidia driver 195.36.24 + up to date Lucid is very stable for me (E6510 also as the NVS 3100M graphics adapter). Once I saw those NVRM errors with the nvidia 260 beta driver (and no official comments from nvidia about it being adressed) and realized that 256.X was unusable due to performance problems (and also failing suspend) *and* that 195.36.24 doesn't work with xserver 1.9, downgrade was a fact. A pain, yes indeed, but I need stuff that works right now. -- NVRM: os_raise_smp_barrier(), invalid context! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/656279 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
