Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I’ve just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10, and was left with no audio. I fiddled with the audio settings a bit, and suddenly the audio started working, but in a garbled way. The following command, however, works perfectly. speaker-test -c2 -l1 -twav -Dplug:front ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: pulseaudio 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu21 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.34-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23.
